We thrive with helping CPG Wellness brands to strategize and increase their brand awareness, online engagement, and e-commerce revenue. Lotus Foods, the leading import rice company in the US, tasked Bajibot to revamp their online presence to better tell the Lotus Food stories, and to take on digital marketing strategy and execution to drive more traffic and revenue. Before we dove into studying the brand, business, and marketing background of Lotus, our team first had to learn everything we need to know about rice- from the different types of rice strains, where they are farmed, who the farmers are, the lives of the farmers, and all the different kinds of foods that can be made from rice..only then did we look into the marketing and business aspects of Lotus Foods.

Through a deep understanding of the target audience, we tailor-designed a more efficient UX and UI system for the new lotusfoods.com to better the website experience, brand communication, and streamline the sales funnel. A brand story can be told through each image, copy, animation, and click from the moment users arrive at Lotus’ landing page. A brand’s website is the only place where we have the full attention of every site visitor. Just like an effective layout design of a retail store, the UX and architecture of a website can have the same effect on driving sales. Our talented UI designers had a lot of fun immersing themselves as rice farmers and came up with an interface design that looks and feels natural and organic, without being too on the nose, with just the right amount of animations and interactive components to deepen the website experience for users.

Lotusfoods.com was built on the Shopify Plus platform, along with several third-party APIs that we recommended to better the website experience for both the customers and for Lotus Foods’ internal web admins. To name a few, we utilized: Destini for a store locator and inventory integration, Okendo for product reviews, Klaviyo for email marketing, and LoyaltyLion for loyalty rewards and referrals. The goal was to build a sustainable website that provides flexibility and gives internal administrators the power to maintain the website on their own.
